Afeni Shakur influence on society.

 Afeni Shakur named executor of Tupac's estate, channeled her grief into establishing the Tupac Amaru Shakur foundation, dedicated to supporting young artists. Her commitment was to philanthropy funding scholarships and programs of arts she,died 69 in her north California home.

She was a former member of the black panther party. An artist and philanthropist, she was a also a savvy businesswoman establishing a trust to ensure that Tupac's work will always be protected. The black panthers were against racism and classism.

After they disbanded in the 80's Afeni struggled to cope and began using crack cocaine . Tupac was resentful of this as a teen, and the mother Afeni kicked him out at 17 over their differences . She went to rehab two years later in 1990.

She was arrested during police raids of  black panther's homes and named in the panther 21 trial in New York city. Afeni boldly elected to represent herself in the trial, despite not having attended law school and being pregnant with Tupac at the time.

She exposed the police's unlawful activities which led to all members in the case being acquitted.
