PHIL COLLINS CHARITY ENDEVOURS.
Phillip David Charles Collins was born on 30th January 1961 at Putney hospital. In the present day borough of wandsworth in south west London, England at the time, Putney hospital was in the metropolitan borough of wandsworth in the city of London.
Legendary British musician Phil Collins and his wife then Orianne Collins in February 2000 gave birth to a little dreams foundation. The foundation aims to transform the aspirations of gifted children into reality- offering them training, mentorship and financial support.
Collins became a celebrated artiste and household name, from his debut album with his band genesis, another day in paradise was a smash hit, in 1989. His biggest album no jacket required had his signature song in the air tonight.
"Another day in paradise" was written and almost completely recorded by Collins, he wrote the song after encountering a woman and her children outside the recording studio and reflecting on his reaction to her. Collins himself said that the exchange mostly just made him uncomfortable."I felt awkward, I didn't ignore her but at the same time, I didn't stop and give her some money." Since then, "another day in paradise," has been a vessel to raise global awareness about homelessness.
The Phil Collins experience is proud to carry on the torch in every city on tours, in each they selected a homeless program to feature, and letting concert goers know about the program and how they can help through volunteering, donations and more.
Collins has since then suffered from numerous health issues including dislocating vertebrae in his neck in 2007 that left a nerve damage to his hands. He has then used a cane since 2015, when he had back surgery and revealed in September 2022 he can "barely hold a drumstick.
No one has ever become broke by helping others, strong people stand up for themselves, but stronger people stand up for others. The philanthropy we do on earth is the rent we pay to be in heaven, your greatness is not what we have, it's what we give!
