"THE COMEBACK QUEEN OF AFRICA,"


 Brenda Fassie South Africa's born songwriter, dancer and activist was born November 3, 1964

She underwent drug rehabilitation in 1995 after an overdose of cocaine.

After rehab she she put the broken pieces together and released several solo albums including MEMEZA and MOMAKANJAM. MEMEZA was the best selling album in Africa in 1998.and after that she was named THE COMEBACK QUEEN OF AFRICA,

She was also dubbed THE MADONNA OF THE TOWNSHIPS by the time magazine in 2001. She later died on May 9, 2004.
