DISABILITY IS NOT INABILITY


 Israel Vibration are a reggae harmony group originating from Kingston Jamaica Lascelle "Wiss' Bulgin" Albert "Apple Gabriel" Craig and Cecil 'Skelly' Spence all contracted childhood polio and went on to be a Jamaica roots reggae group in the 1970s. The trio initially met as children at a rehabilitation centre.

The three young men had several points in common; a passions for the close harmony reggae singing popular at the time, an interest in Rastafarianism, and the experiences of polio and institutionalisation. Their first performance was at a theological college next door to the centre. When they left the centre some other Rastafarians rejected them, seeing their impairment as a punitive sign from God.

They had songs like  Tippy tippy toes, Level every angle emphasis the visual and sonic narrative of disability, It is not difficult to hear the latter extending the fairly standard post civil rights and post Bob Marley theriac of one love reggae into a kind of disability rights concert.

By 1979 Israel Vibration had released powerful albums like The same song and unconquering people, was signed to the British EMI subsidiary harvest.

In conclusion the Israel Vibration proved to everyone that disability is not inability, same people can't do anything even with both legs and hands.

Afeni Shakur influence on society.

 Afeni Shakur named executor of Tupac's  estate, channeled her grief into establishing the Tupac Amaru Shakur foundation, dedicated to supporting young artists. Her commitment was to philanthropy funding scholarships and programs of arts she,died 69 in her north California home. She was a former member of the black panther party. An artist and philanthropist, she was a also a savvy businesswoman establishing a trust to ensure that Tupac's work will always be protected. The black panthers were against racism and classism. After they disbanded in the 80's Afeni struggled to cope and began using crack cocaine . Tupac was resentful of this as a teen, and the mother Afeni kicked him out at 17 over their differences . She went to rehab two years later in 1990. She was arrested during police raids of  black panther's homes and named in the panther 21 trial in New York city. He is an American actor, producer and director, known for his dramatic roles on stage and screen, He has received numerous accolades including two academy awards, an actor award, two golden globe awards.The New York times named Denzel the greatest actor of the 21st century.
